Section 31

The official - nonexistent branch of Starfleet Intelligence that claims to protect the Federation. Its name came from the Starfleet charter. This was made in 2151. Malcolm Reed was the first visable member of the section. It is not really known who began it. When Malcolm was posted to the Enterprise he gave up his position within the section. Yet in 2154 he was contacted and the Section assisted in the finding of Dr. Phlox.

Before directive

Someday my people are going to come up with some sort of doctrine, something that tells us what we can and can't do out here, should and shouldn't do. But until sombody tells me that they've drafted that directive, I'm going to have to remind myself everyday that we didn't come out here to play God.  StarTrek Trivia Calendar
